The Grand Canyon

One word would sufficiently describe this place......... Unbelievable!!!! If you are travelling to Las Vegas then you would be mad to miss out on seeing this. Most of the hotels/hostels run day trips to this amazing destination, although they are pricey, they are full day trips and you do get your moneys worth if you ask me. There are a few choices as to which part of the canyon that you visit and what activities are available so you will have to choose which package suits you.

Views From The Stratosphere.

Stratosphere Rides Las Vegas.

These are rides at the top of the Stratosphere Hotel in Las Vegas, if they look hair raising to you that's because they are! I have a Video on Youtube of one of the rides that shoots over the edge and it looks pretty scary even on film. If you want to go to the top then you might aswell go on one of the rides because it costs you $US14 to go up just for a look.

Sahara Hotel Vegas.

The Sahara Hotel is the hotel that we stayed at and it is right on the casino strip next to the Stratosphere. It was a pretty good hotel/casino and I would say that it cost $US33 per night to stay there, but in actual fact, they paid me because I won $US3,000 on Roulette! Not bad, that money paid for a lot of activities aswell as making everything that we had done to date free!

Viva Las Vegas!!

Until now we have been spoilt, it has been nothing but plane rides but no more. We had a massive 20 hour bus trip via Greyhound to get here and the worst part was that we had to go back to LA to get here from SanFran! Greyhound don't do a direct run, how stupid, so my advise is don't use Greyhound for this trip, use an independant company and the trip will be much shorter. Anyway, we are here. Wooooooo Hooooooo tables here I come!!!

Postcard Row SanFran.

This is postcard row, cute, but so what, They are just houses to me, however the park that we are sitting in is quite nice!

Chinatown SanFran.

It is like being in another country when you take a look in Chinatown, the atmosphere changes instantly and completely. It's so busy and nothing really seems to be accomplished. We had lunch here in a resturant that I couldn't pronounce and it only cost us $US5 each.... so cheap!

SanFran's Homeless.

There are an aweful lot of homeless people in San
Fran and you can't help but feel bad for them and want to help them when you experience how cold it is there.

Historic Cable Cars SanFran.

These cable cars have only specific set routes but they are worth the ride just to say that you have been on one. They aren't cheap however, a one way ticket was $US5.

Fisherman's Wharf, SanFran.

This place has a real cosy atmosphere and there is no shortage of things to do. There are shops gallore and even a fruit market e ven though the prices were a bit rich. It is a nice place for a lunch or dinner and is quite a relaxing place to spend some time.
The local seals provide plenty of entertainment fighting and pushing each other off the pontoons competing for prime real estate.
