On To San Francisco

San Francisco!!! We were warned that this place was always cold but we didn't listen....... Big mistake! this was by far the coldest place that we encountered during our trip through the USA and we travelled during the summer. We stayed at a dodgy little hostel called the European Guest house for the first 2 days upon arrival because where we wanted to stay was booked out those days. It wasn't in the best part of town and the facillities were at best, bloody shocking! You actually felt dirtier after having a shower!
Anyways, things got better because after the first 2 days we moved on to our favourite hostel chain The USA Hostel and as expected, it didn't disappoint.
The public transport here is really good as with most US cities so it is really easy to get around. The subway is always the quickest way to travel but being underground you don't get to see much and lets face it, the reason you are travelling is to see new things. I recommend using the buses wherever possible and just make sure you plan your trip times a little longer so you don't miss anything.
